The profession of a hypnotherapist was defined in 1973 by Dr. John Kappas ( the Founder of the Hypnosis Motivation Institute) in the Federal Dictionary of Occupational Titles. According to his definition, a Hypnotherapist:
- Induces hypnotic state in client to increase motivation or alter behavior patterns.
- Consults with client to determine nature of problem.
- Prepares client to enter hypnotic state by explaining how hypnosis works and what client will experience.
- Tests subject to determine degree of physical and emotional suggestibility.
- Induces hypnotic state in client, using individualized methods and techniques of hypnosis based on interpretation of test results and analysis of client’s problem.
- May train client in self-hypnosis conditioning.

How much does hypnotherapy cost?
Our first consultation is always FREE. Ketamine treatment is covered by most insurance providers in California.
How long does the effect from therapy last?
Although this varies by a patient, effects from Treatments and Therapy can stay permanently.
How long does each session take?
Our TMS and Ketamine program for Depression takes about 6 weeks. However, we usually start seeing effects of Ketamine on mood after 2-3 treatments. The response rate on both Ketamine and TMS is quite high, with 70% of patients showing improvement in depressive symptoms.
Who is hypnotherapy a good fit for?
Spravato has been approved by the FDA. Our treatment programs are safe as they are supervised by a physician. Ketamine treatment is not recommended for patients with high blood pressure.
